“Seeing a therapist can be nerve-wracking, especially if it is uncharted territory for you. Keep in mind that sharing your thoughts and feelings with a professional will allow you to understand what steps you need to take to improve your mental wellbeing. I know it is scary and intimidating to find what is going on in your head, but there are people out there who truly want to help.

Mental health checkups in high schools could be helpful as prevention because it acknowledges the existence of mental illness and struggle instead of abiding by the stigma and ignoring it. It aids in helping people know they are not alone.

Even waking up in the morning, taking a shower, dressing in clothes that make me feel powerful are steps I take to feel better. These are other ways you can aid in your mental wellbeing.”

“It feels amazing to have a space where someone listens to you without judgement or criticism. I almost didn’t book a meeting, but I'm so glad I did. Please do this if you're struggling or even if you just want to talk about what’s on your mind for a bit :) Definitely worth it!"
